Having completed his education from Mumbai University, Mr. Hemant Kamat has been an integral part of the MG Group since 1990. He began his journey with MG Brothers,Pune in the Transport Division, and over the years, has played a pivotal role in the transformation and growth of the MG Group into one of India’s leading bus body manufacturers.

With over 25 years of rich experience, Mr. Kamat has consistently delivered results as the Head of Purchase & Commercials. His expertise lies in streamlining procurement processes, driving vendor development, and optimizing operational workflows across various business verticals. He has been instrumental in establishing robust logistics systems from the ground up, significantly improving supply chain visibility and reducing lead times.

A proven leader, Mr. Kamat has also successfully led the Costing Team at MG Group, contributing to substantial cost savings and operational efficiencies. His core strengths include strategic sourcing, cross-functional team leadership, and a deep understanding of business dynamics.

In recognition of his invaluable contributions and leadership acumen, Mr. Kamat has been elevated to the position of Chief Operating Officer of MG Automotives Private Limited, Zaheerabad, effective March 2024. In this role, he now oversees Product Costing, Process Cost Optimization, Supply Chain, Vendor Management, and Operations, driving MG Automotives Zaheerabad towards new milestones of excellence and growth.
